The Year

This year I am proud of myself because I am at the standard for my year and still progressing. I have achieved a number of goals throughout the year in Maths and Writing.  This year I have learnt many things including different skills for working out questions and different types of writing pieces and even things outside the classroom like athletics and learning how to throw it with the help of Steve. I got help doing this by collaborating with other kids in the environment. The change that we have made with the class is good so then there's a spot for everyone like the cave if you want to be in a dead silence place. The water hole is when you colaberate with another student to get help or them to describe how to work it out. The rainforest is where you can be quieter. This year i have been archiving outside the school like getting in the bay of plenty touch team and the western bay for cricket. In the south cluster athletics i won the cricket ball throw. I was lucky enough to get picked for the house leader for viard it is a very fun job where you can be a leader and be more confident in speaking in front of people, when i was awarded house leader i was in hospital for a horrible sickness i got.  I got the opportunity to do otago maths against all of the kids in new zealand. This year has ended with a high doing camp and other cool stuff.

Austins butterfly

There was a boy named Austin he went to a school in a small town called Boseidon in his class they studied to draw a butterfly he had to use the drawing that they got shown and draw it. the butterfly was called the tiger butterfly because the stripes look the same as a tiger. e was only in 1st grade and it would be pretty hard. Austin imagined the looking f the butterfly but not scientifically so he sketched it.

The teacher gave him feedback and his friend so he went back and got the shape he was really happy so he did the small details and it turned out really really well. He went and did the color and it really gave it some life. This is amazing how specific feed back can make your work amazing.

Art skill

In this drawing, I have been learning how to draw either a cartoon, cute pig or a funny robot I chose the funny robot because it looks funny and you could easily draw it because the shape is square. I'm happy with how it turned out it looks kind of like the one above so I'm happy. The challenge was the face and the arms this was hard because if you didn't do them right then it would change the whole thing. so this is my drawing.

caritas

This week it is social justice week and we should help someone in need or just go help your friend             if they  find something hard, there are so many ways to help someone and I will tell you a story about a kid who was walking to school and he saw a homeless guy so he gave him all his money and food to him and he did that for a week and walked with him so if he can do it we can.

another thing is that you should always love your neighbor even if they are older than you or younger. As in the Bible, Jesus says love your neighbor as your friend. so we should all love our neighbor so if you see them always say hi to them and greet them when they enter their house and go have a cup of tea. So let's all love our neighbor and help someone for Caritas.

Reflection on my learning

Prayer of god

Praying to god means that we are his sheep and he is our Shepard so we fallow in his foot steps and never betray him. He loves us because in one of the bible story says that the Shepard had 99 sheep but one was lost he did not say its just one sheep I have plenty he went looking for the sheep and eventually found it when he got back he celebrated of finding his sheep.

We worship god in the catholic church and at service. Evan before you play a rugby game or sport in the final. Don't worship god like were everyone can see you so you can get your prize do it in Privet.

You worship god thru dance sing and prayer he can talk to us when ever.

We pray to god because he is our father and we are the children and he died for us on the cross.

Ratios reflection

Ratio is a way to get like the fraction of some thing like in one packet  there was 3 circles and 1 is blue and the others are pink you would go 1:2 because there are 1 blue and 2 pink. Lets work out what would two packets lets start with 1 packet well we worked that out before but we have to do 2 so we double 1 and double 2 so it would be 2:4 you can do lots of stuff so 3 you would do the same 4+2=6   2+1=3  you get the the pattern. Hope you have got my helpful working out for ratios. 

Writing reflection

This week we have been learning to write narratives it always needs a introduction middle and end. The introduction is were you bring most of the charters and were its set e.g The waves crash against the soft sand you would know that is the beach. I use to name the charters half way thru the book now I get the people at the start so I can get more in interesting  stuff. The middle is where all the action stuff happens. there is usually like 3 paragraphs of where every thing is. The conclusion is the hard bit. Its when you end every thing and the problem is fixed or the world gets blow en up by a nuke. 2 things that I know now is that introduction is where you introduce the people and set the scene, where it is. 

Writing

This week my goal is to get a restricted I'm going to try not work with my friends and  work hard to get my toku ako done.  I think I might start of a learner or a r because I always talk to my friends   and I can't help it. I need a little bit of managing but I work good without my friends.I did a whole story when I was working by myself like just now.

This week I'am going to work on my writing I have completed my writing goal witch is complex sentences or paragraphs I might ask the teacher if I can do another goal  and when I get another goal I have to try finish the next goal.

Writing goals

This week I have been working on writing. Not just writing the whole week but focusing on it. My goals is to sort my ideas into paragraphs I think I have been doing this good because I have been writing more and have been enjoying writing. I like writing my own story but  still can write the story's that my teacher gives me. I like writing similes and complex sentences e.g Jimmy ran as fast as a lighting bolt.

My maths goals

This week I have been working on fractions of a whole number. So like quarter of 1000 =250. Or harder ones from now on I will be working on this and when I can do this I will get a knew goal And tick that of my bucket list. But first I have to do  different ones then just ones in books. When i finish that goal i can't just  forget about it you still have to show that i can do it in my learning.

Reading goal

I have been reading longer books and actually like reading now  and read at home in my spare time instead of playing video games or t.v. I am reading the series conspiracy 365 I am up to the September it goes in months. I LIKE READING!!!!!!!!!

biggest waves caught

A Brazilian surfer was named the fearless rider he caught big waves for a living his biggest wave was recorded to be 100 ft . he says that the ocean is like his family it never hurts him unless he falls off of cause.

The Rubik's Whiz

A fourteen year old boy, Lucas Etter, has broken the world record for doing the Rubik's cube in 3 seconds. He solved it 1 second after a robot and was official awarded the Rubik's world association. A robot got 2 seconds but robots are always faster at doing stuff.
